Classic Galoob Action Fleet
1995 - 1998
The Galoob Action Fleet line started in 1994 as a mirror to their Micro Machines line. Action Fleet toys had several play features and 2 semi-poseable figures, all for $10. Galoob also tried to make their toys fairly accurate for the time. Additionally, Galoob released Battle Packs of smaller vehicles and figures, transforming playsets, and Series Alpha, which featured concept vehicles.
Action Fleet toys are one of my all-time favorite toy lines. I loved their size, accuracy, and how varied the releases were. Not many companies were interested in releasing a TIE Defender or E-wing in the 90s. In many ways, the Action Fleet toys led me to modeling. I started with Action Fleet customs, usually repaints. Then, I began to do more in-depth customizing before finally starting to buy actual models.

Do you want some photos of the Death Star transforming playset? I have one near mint.
Alex
Do you know anything about the three button remote atat? Jcpenny Mail away by galoob?
So what exactly did the third button do?
Not sure. I think it was for the lights/sound.
Three button At-At was not a mail away. This was available retail. I believe when I bought it, it was from K&B Toys at the mall. It may have been exclusive to the chain. That was a fun toy, since it matched the other non-remote style.
Hmm, I know the 2-button was KB and came with the special stand and normal AF box. The one that I got from JCPenney was in a solid-white box and had the 3-button controller. I suppose it’s possible there was another version of the 3-button that ended up at KB. I just never saw it. Most of my info on the exclusives came from Rebelscum users.
Hi, I’ve recently obtained some Star Wars stuff. I have 2 items that I cant identify. But they say Action Fleet on them. Would I be able to email you a photo so you can see, and hopefully help me out?
Thanks.
Sure. You can find my email on this page, and I can hopefully identify what you have.
i have a box full of these toys plus a few other starwars things in the garage had them scine i was little
I noticed you don’t have pictures of Luke’s X-Wing with the fight controller. I have it in my collection. Do you want pictures?
I assume there must have been a set of separatist (CIS?) droids as well – I found some while sorting though our children’s hordes of figures – three with blue shoulders, (marked 12A on the base) three with red shoulders (13A) and two with yellow shoulders (14A). The bases all have (c)LFL & (c)98 GTI. They also have either no dot, one dot or two dots – as the position of the text on these also differs I assume these relate to the different moulds used for the figures.
Yes. I have the Battle Droids listed in the Episode I section. I hadn’t noticed the dots before, but are probably right about the different molds.
Hi, I have a toy Galoob Star Wars Action Fleet 1996 that is like gray and has three ‘guns’ on it, has battery pack on bottom, says TM 1996 Lucasfilm Ltd, Lewis Galoob Toys, any idea how I can find out exactly what it is and how much to sell it for?
Sounds like that’s the Rebel Flight Controller. Unfortunately, it sounds like you only have the handle, which makes it not valuable at all without the ship. Best!
Just wanted to say how appreciative I am of all the hard work you clearly out into this site! It’s incredibly well curated, and informative. I have been using it at as a reference, as I slowly rebuild my AF collection
Thank you Ben. That means a lot. I’m glad you are finding it useful. Best!
Thanks for such an informative site. I’ve been coming here for a couple years now while I’ve taken my time completing my collection.
Thank you. I’m glad it’s been helpful.
