I finished a new little diorama using Bandai’s Turbolaser Tower from their A-wing kit. It’s not really to scale with the A-wing, so I added a Fantasy Flight Games B-wing to the base. I also used a new pre-shading technique called black-basing, which I talk about on the page. Hope you all like it.

A Tale of Two TIEs
So, I haven’t been doing much over the past year. I hit a snag with Kylo’s Shuttle, and just kinda quit for a while. But, I did recently pick of Bandai’s TIE Interceptor and TIE Striker. These went together quickly, and I actually managed to paint and weather them. Check them out.
I’ve also written a new article on the size of Moldy Crow using lots of screenshots.
Finally, I wrote a very extensive piece on my favorite character, Asajj Ventress. I talk about her history somewhat. But primarily I discuss how she exhibits all the symptoms of PTSD. Anyway, I think it came out great, and it really hits on what makes her such an amazing character. Check it out here – Asajj Ventress – Tragic Hero.
Walker Down
So, here are few pics of my latest project, a crashed AT-ST on Hoth diorama complete with turret…..or at least it will be when I start painting and make the diorama.
- 1 – Mostly finished AT-ST
- 3 – Detailed turret with hatch and door
Command AT-ST
I finally uploaded the gallery of my Command AT-ST from the Bandai kit. Check out the pics, comment, enjoy, and don’t forget the build log. Cheers!
Airbrushing a walker
I finally finished airbrushing the AT-ST. Primarily I used Life Color Barley Grey for the base coat. I then used various other LC greys as highlights. I then took some whitish-grey to create some streaks down the side of the cabin. I’ll be painting in some more modulation, but for now, the airbrushing is done.
