Not Another Tank

Apologies that it's been a while. Life often gets in the way. And in this case, I'm going to be welcoming my first kid pretty soon. So, I may or may not be taking a hiatus for a long time. I hope to keep working and keep updating from time to time. Recently, I have been adding a lot of entries to the Fantasy Flight Scale lists, and I've been checking over a lot of the older references.

However, I did purchase (well, pre-order 5 months ago), the TX-130 Saber Tank from the Fantasy Flight Legion line. I loved this hovertank since it's appearance in The Clone Wars video game in 2002. It was fast, powerful, and it looks damn cool. The new model from Legion is 1/48 scale roughly, and it actually comes on sprues. I've included some pics in case anyone is interested. I could definitely detail the kit, but it's a great kit nonetheless.

Still tanking along

Yep, I'm still working on the Legion Combat Assault Tank. I've been really busy and tired from work. But, I managed to make a custom Pilot figure, and now I'm finally at the painting stage. I've also been in talks with some people from Mig Ammo and Finescale Modeler about published some stuff. So hopefully, I can move a little faster if I get the go ahead.

A little armor and a working hatch

For something different, I decided to build a little armored car, Tamiya's 1/48 Type 16. It's a modern Japanese 8-wheeled vehicle designed for the roadways of Japan. It was a fun little vehicle, and gave me something that I could actually complete while working on others things.

Also, I've been getting closer to finishing the build of the Combat Assault Tank. Latest update: working commanders hatch. Check it out.

Oh yeah, new larger format pictures. I'm going to try to start uploading much larger image sizes, but I don't know if I'll go back and resize the thousands of prior images.

Legion Combat Assault Tank started

So, I've started the tabletop miniature of the Combat Assault Tank. I've added some photo-etch grills and lots of little details so far. HOWEVER, I'm also trying to get back into some old projects, like my Kylo Ren Command Shuttle. I'd like to finish some stuff.

I do have a question: do I add a lower torso and small interior details to the figure and the top hatch?
