Episode I Miscellaneous Micro Machines
Star Wars Miscellaneous Releases from The Phantom Menace
Podracers
Along with the regular miniatures, Hasbro made 4 Hot Wheels-inspired podracer sets, each pod was larger than the normal Micro Machines. You could also buy the launchers, 2 medium-sized tracks, and 1 deluxe Boonta Eve track seen in the poster to the right.
Build-Your-Own Podracers
They also released a slew of Build-Your-Own Podracer packs. Each set allowed for 2 complete podracers but with lots of extra parts leftover.
While these came in several colors, they only had a handful of molds in each pack. The first set of molds (first cardback photo) had the most unique pieces, whereas the second set (second cardback) had several reused molds. I still don't know how many color variations there are of these sets.
I've found at least 6 variants of the first set of molds and 3 variants of the second set of molds. Sometimes all of the colors are different, sometimes it's just the engines in the center that have different paintwork.
Jedi Braid
Hasbro released several role-playing sets for kids to enjoy. Among these was the Jedi Braid set which featured a braid, holoprojector, and a transparent blue Micro Machines Royal Starship. Now to me, this a really neat release, but it's only worth getting for serious collectors.
Note: This set was exclusive to Australia but found its way to secondary markets later on.
