So, I tried several things to remove the lettering on the new Probe Pod. 2 panels have black lettering printed on, 1 has raised lettering that you can't do much with, and 1 panel has some faint raised lettering, I think. Anyway, from looking at the raised sphere panels left to right, here is what I tried - lacquer thinner, heat gun, acetone, and isopropyl alcohol. The only one that worked was the alcohol (far right sphere panel), but it takes a bit of pressure to remove the paint. Anything else will melt the plastic. Mineral Spirits has no effect on paint or plastic. Anything with isopropyl alcohol should work as well, like most hand sanitizers.
Of course, this may not bother you at all. It's could use a repaint anyway, and I probably won't do any mods to any other Probes I get. Lastly, extra points if you get the title reference for the post.

Dr. Strangelove, I presume…
Well done!
Why in the world would they do that? EVERY side. It’s like a mean joke.
Also, I know it’s Dr. Strangelove, but the title ALSO made me think of this, from Venture Bros., for some reason:
Yeah, it’s unfortunate they did all that printing. Love that clip. Now I want to see more of the show.
It’s worth it if only for the amount of David Bowie references. The show is a riot.
Sold. I’ll have to check it out sometime.
