Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron Series 10

2022 Jazwares Action Fleet-inspired line

Series 9 is still coming in, but we know that Series 10 will feature the TIE Avenger Prototype, the P-38 MagnaGuard Rogue Fighter, Xanadu Blood, and Inquisitor TIE v1.

This is from DC's Ultimate Unofficial Guide. All thanks go to him.

Series 10 Blind Boxes

Features:

  • AT-RT - Crosshair
  • Undicur Jumpspeeder - Ahsoka Tano
  • Rey's Speeder Bike - Rey
  • Dwarf Spider Droid - Battle Droid
  • AvA Speeder Bike - Ezra Bridger
  • Flitknot Speeder (Holographic) - Count Dooku

If you only look at Blind Box series, this is by far the best wave since Series 3. Each vehicle is different, and they all cover multiple eras. Rey's Speeder is really nice and represents some of the best paintwork. Crosshair features a great paintjob and a sniper rifle molded to his backpack. Ahsoka's Jumpspeeder is a very nice addition. But the standout is the Dwarf Spider Droid with rotating head and legs that lift and rotate on a peg, which gives it insane poseability. You do have a silly figure mount in the back, but it's easily removed.

Ezra is the Rare with the Holographic speeder being the Chase in the series.

TIE Avenger Prototype

Features:

  • opening top section
  • rotating heavy laser turret
  • opening rear stairs that slide out
  • figure holder in the back
  • clear display stand
  • poseable Cassian Andor

The TIE Avenger is absolutely phenomenal. I did a video review comparing it to the Hallmark Ornament, and it beats it completely. They have a come a long way with detail, especially mold quality. The rockets/missiles look like they could pop off (they can't), but that's a testament to the quality of detail. Now, the interior is also phenomenal, with lots of stuff that you could paint if you wanted. The whole top opens, and the rear stairs open and slide out for better access. Cassian looks great, but the overall ship is undersized for the 1/72 figures.

TIE Advanced v1

Features:

  • opening hatch
  • folding wings (4)
  • push button on bottom ejects pilot
  • poseable Seventh Sister

For something so small, this TIE is really cool looking. The detail is really phenomenal with all the greeblies they added. The paintwork could be better overall, especially the hatch being too dark. However, the Seventh Sister looks absolutely amazing. The lightsaber on her back is so well-defined.

Rogue-Class P-38 Starfighter

Features:

  • opening cockpit
  • retractable landing gear (3)
  • opening wing access panels (2)
  • poseable Magnaguard

Aka, the Magnaguard Fighter...or the ship with 20 names. Now, I love the blush-grey color they went with, and the features are excellent. I love the Magnaguard figure. Speaking of, I ordered 2 of these and each came with a different figure. The molded-blue figure looks like the stock images, whereas the other figure is a teal blue. Is this is a mistake or a variant?

Xanadu Blood

Features:

  • opening cockpit
  • retractable landing gear (3)
  • opening wing access panels (2)
  • poseable Cad Bane

This a truly a great repaint, but also a great rare because not everyone will want it. The Xanadu Blood (sounds like a medication side-effect) is molded in green with painted accents. Now, I did have a lot of CA glue hazing on a few parts, but I removed most of it. Cad of course looks great.

Kryze Clan Gauntlet

Features:

  • opening cockpit
  • retractable landing gear
  • rotating center hull
  • wings rotate up for landing position
  • poseable Kryze Clan Warrior (removable jetpack)

Personally, I think this is the best paint job for the Gauntlet thus far. Sadly, it's still an undersized ship, especially considering the Rebels model (which is the Kryze Clan version) is much bigger than the models used in TCW or Mandalorian. Still, it's a great paint job. The Kryze Warrior is pretty cool and has a removable jetpack.

TIE Fighter (Twilight Squadron)

Features:

  • opening canopy
  • opening rear engine hatch
  • push button on bottom ejects pilot
  • wings can pop off
  • poseable Biggs Darklighter

While they didn't included the hyperdrive or R2 socket, this repaint is pretty nice. Unfortunately, they used red paint for the top canopy hatch instead of tinted plastic. Still, I like it. Included are some pics of the graphic novel Star Wars: Empire Volume 2: Darklighter.

Cloud Car (McQuarrie Concept)

Features:

  • retractable landing gear (4)
  • opening cockpit (2)
  • opening engine cover
  • poseable Cloud Car Pilots (2)

I really love that the blue color is painted on, not molded. This really shows how much better paint looks than bare plastic. The yellow emblems look fantastic. The only things missing are the 2 tail fins in the concept art.

Geonosian Starfighter (Armada)

Features:

  • opening cockpit
  • retractable landing gear (3)
  • rotating cannon
  • poseable Geonosian Pilot

I am quite surprised how different this one is than the Vault version. It's brighter and lighter, more copper-ish. I think it's worth picking up.

AT-ST (Armada)

Features:

  • opening/rotating cockpit
  • rotating twin blasters and side blaster cannons
  • poseable legs and feet (3 points of articulation)
  • poseable AT-ST Driver

This AT-ST is a pass for most people unless you didn't get another issue of it. I think the weathering is very odd and doesn't make a lot of sense. But, if you need one, get it.

  1. Any ideas as to what the new common releases are for the AT-ST and Luke X-Wing on the back of the boxes?

    • AT-ST looks battle-damaged or muddy. The X-wing does look like Luke’s, but I’m not sure if there’s any changes. Maybe they’re doing a swamp/Dagobah theme for it like Action Fleet did.

      • I know it’s just a render but it seems a little too clean to be a Dagobah X-wing. I wouldn’t mind them doing one, but I feel like that should come with a training/Bespin Luke and a Yoda, plus a dirty R2

        • Agreed, it does look clean. So maybe updated paint job? I guess at worst, this will be one many of us can skip.

    • I pre-ordered many Series 10 when the stock pages popped up on Amazon in September. I didn’t even know which was which, only that they were Micro Galaxy upcoming releases.
