Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron Series 7
2022 Jazwares Action Fleet-inspired line
Most of Series 7 hit around November 2024, shortly after Series 6. However, some ships released earlier like the T-6 and the Blue U-wing. These are all technically part of Series 7, even though Series 6 wasn't fully out yet.
While several ships are simply repaints, there are a lot of new molds and figures. The Fiend Fighters are easily the highlight of this wave, sporting some incredible detail and stands. The T-6 is massive and beautiful if displayed (see the Stands Page). We finally get a Kylo Ren figure, as well as Durge, Kanan with his helmet, and several podracer pilots who look amazing.
Paintwork continues to get better, especially with the Phantom II, Kanan's helmet, and the Nightbrother. All in all, this is a very solid wave.
This is from DC's Ultimate Unofficial Guide. All thanks go to him.
Features:
- Sabine's AvA Speeder Bike - Sabine Wren
- Durge's Swoop Bike - Durge
- Jedi Outland Speeder Bike - Kelnacca
- BARC Speeder with Sidecar - Captain Rex
- BARC Speeder - Clone Lieutenant (Teal)
- BARC Speeder - Clone Commander (Yellow)
This was a nice assortment of Blinds. I love getting some rarely seen speeders, like Durge, Sabine, and Kelnacca. Kelnacca's speeder is heavy and often tips forward. Sabine's AvA speeder looks amazing. The best though has to be the BARC with Sidecar. It's molded in a way that allows you to flip it around and/or remove it to display separately. And who doesn't love another Rex. I thought it was great making the army builder Clones, the rarer ones.
The teal Clone Lieutenant is the Rare with the yellow Clone Commander being the Chase of this series.
Features:
- opening canopy
- clear display stand
- poseable Shin Hati or Marrok
Well, last series my favorite was the E-wing. This time around, my favorites are definitely the RP82 Fiend Fighters. The detail is truly amazing, especially on the wing edges front and back. The paint job and weathering are truly top notch and make these AMAZING display models. The only real downside is the massive thumb tab to open the cockpit. The display stand is very welcome addition, especially since these don't have landing gear. Shin Hati looks really great, and Marrok is simplistic but well molded.
You can see a glued-on tab under the tail, which means they will do the standard Fiend Fighter at some point with the lower tailfin and the removed outrigger things on the wingtips.
Also check out my Video Review.
Features:
- opening cockpit
- retractable landing gear
- rotating center hull
- wings rotate up for landing position
- poseable Darth Maul
This isn't my favorite version of the Gauntlet fighter, but I know a lot of people will want it. They did a fantastic job with the paintwork. And you can really see all of the detail, especially on the rear hatch area.
Features:
- opening cockpit
- opening center section with multiple seating options
- fold-out landing gear (4)
- fold-down rear ramp
- pull-out clips underneath to mount to Ghost with push-button to retract
- poseable Kanan Jarrus (helmet) & Chopper
I really like what they did with the Phantom II. It has a better look overall, and it's closer in scale to the Ghost. Jazwares did great with Sabine's detail paintwork of the Tibidee creatures. The landing gear is finicky to work with and feels fragile. The Phantom II used pull-out clips to attach to the Ghost, and a little hidden button springs them back in place. Kanan looks amazing and is one of the coolest figures I've seen.
Features:
- opening cockpit
- push button on bottom ejects pilot
- wings can pop off
- poseable Kylo Ren
So, I'm not a huge fan of the TIE Whisper. It has the same rear sections as the Special Forces TIE Fighter but only has 1 pilot. Moreover, the turret underneath does NOT rotate at all. Also, I thought my turret was glued on backwards because the red dots are pointing to the rear, but I have seen the same issue on other Whispers.
The Chase "damaged" version has weathering on the wings, but Kylo is the same.
Features:
- opening cockpit
- retractable landing gear (3)
- underside button pops up R2 unit
- poseable Saesee Tinn & R3-D5
Saesee's Jedi Starfighter was a copy of Ahsoka's Starfighter, but with green instead of red paint. I don't dislike it at all, but I kinda wish we had gotten something different. However, I have to give major props to Jazwares for molding openings around the horns on his head instead of just molding the whole area closed off.
Features:
- opening canopy
- opening rear engine hatch
- push button on bottom ejects pilot
- wings can pop off
- clear display stand
- poseable Soontir Fel
They did a fabulous job on the paintwork here, especially for Soontir Fel. I love the red stripes that look "painted on" and slightly faded. Like I said, the figure is amazing with Imperial cogs on the helmet and shoulders. Sadly, one laser cannon was poorly molded and not complete.
Features:
- opening canopy with 4 seats
- retractable landing gear (2)
- flip-down ramp
- opening side-doors
- pop-off top hatch with interior
- interior hole to hang Huyang's extra arms
- opening and elevating rear turret
- rotating main hull wing
- poseable Ahsoka, Sabine Wren, Huyang (with removable rear arms)
OK, this is a massive vehicle, nearly as large as the Ghost. I love that they incorporated all of the features you see in the series like the fully rotating wing. The rear turret is stiff but does open up and allows the turret to elevate up and down. You also get a sizable interior with table. A landing ramp lines up with the opening doors, leading directly into the main interior. Best of all, you get a huge cockpit with 4 seats and the ability to stand a figure at the back if you choose.
Ahsoka and Sabine look amazing and highly detailed. Huyang is also great, and his extra arms can pop off as a backpack if you want him seated. The only major downside with this model is that there is NO STAND to display it in flight. It's incredibly unbalanced, so it takes some skill to get it positioned even for photos. It kept falling over every few seconds when I tried, so I had to be quick to snap the shots.
Features:
- pop-out wings (2)
- retractable landing gear (4)
- opening canopy
- pop-out top panel reveals interior
- slide-open side doors (2)
- rotating ion blaster inside troop compartment
- poseable U-wing Pilot & 3 Rebel Troopers (2 different paint jobs)
I have to say that I might like this version better than the initial release. The blue paint is really well done, especially on the engines. The yellow is bright and solid. And I love the darker yellow/orange stripe on one underside engine. That was pretty cool to see.
The interior is unchanged. For figures, the Blue Squadron Pilot is fantastic. You also get 2 light-skinned troopers and one dark-skinned trooper.
Features:
- opening cockpit with 6 seats
- pop off armor to access interior with 6 seats
- opening linked wings
- rotating wing root laser cannons (2)
- swiveling rear blaster turret
- flip-down landing gear (2)
- button opens ramp
- poseable Han Solo, Chewbacca, & Endor Rebel Troopers (2)
On seeing this firsthand, I have to say I am impressed with this repaint. You get a lot of good weathering. The streaks travel down on the outer wings when in flight. However, they also painted them traveling down on the inner wing, so it looks correct when the wings are up. It's a nice compromise. They also removed the Emperor's chair and added a non-working hatch.
Figures look fantastic, I just wish they had painted some camouflage patterns on the Han's coat and Rebel uniforms.

I just got a battle droid on a STAP, in a series 6 box, but the internal packaging had a label saying series 7 blind box? Am I missing something? Is that of any value?
They just messed up. There are so many little quality control errors, that I don’t think it would be worth anything. It’s kinda like getting an AT-ST with a TIE Pilot or something like that. It’s neat to see, but not really valuable.
I just got a Series 6 blind box with a series 7 label as well, it has Ahsoka with a Dark Grey and Red BARC speeder.
Found someone on ebay selling a torrent on ebay, says its the only one. not sure if thats true or not.
Well it’s shipping from the Vault soon I think, so no doubt someone walked out of the factory with one.
Why would they make the Torrent a Vault Exclusive? That’s THE Clone Wars troop builder ship on the republic side.
The value exclusives are usually “packaging exclusive” with some change in deco. There will be a mainline general release of the Torrent.
Yes. It’s a minor deco change. The Vault has more painted areas, but the general release is very similar.
Anyone thinking these will be of value is a fool. Collect what one enjoys. Fully enjoy what one collects.
I collect just to enjoy them. The only ones that have any value are some Series 2 and the SDCC releases it seems.
The Shuttle Tydirium is available on Target.com now https://www.target.com/p/star-wars-tydirium-shuttle-with-mini-figure–no-aasa/-/A-92134520
I never realized this before but there is a hole in the back right of the T-6 Shuttle to store Huyang’s legs if you want to seat him.
Oh I need to add that then.
Pretty sure that’s what it for. Looks like the jetpack hole in Slave 1 and they fit in it.
